Rod Stewart Announces ‘One Last Time’ Tour Dates, Including Birmingham Stop
Legendary rock and roll icon Rod Stewart has officially included Birmingham in the itinerary for his «One Last Time» tour, with a concert slated for August 2, 2025, at the new Coca-Cola Amphitheater. Promoters announced the lineup on Monday, confirming the performance will feature opening act Cheap Trick. Tickets for the 7:30 p.m. show will be available for purchase starting Friday, November 22, at 10 a.m. Central Time through Ticketmaster.
Pre-sale opportunities are available to select groups, with Citi cardholders and members of Stewart’s fan club gaining early access from Tuesday, November 19, at 10 a.m. Central Time until Thursday, November 21, at 10 p.m. Prices for the Birmingham event start at $59.50 and range up to $175, excluding service charges, according to promoter Live Nation.
Stewart, who will mark his 80th birthday in January, initiated his «One Last Time» tour in May, traveling extensively across North America. Although he has not branded the tour as a farewell, it is marketed as a «greatest-hits» extravaganza, featuring many of his timeless hits from a career stretching back to the 1960s. His repertoire includes classics such as «Maggie May,» «Do Ya Think I’m Sexy,» and «Forever Young.»
The tour includes a special performance on August 12 at Pine Knob Music Theatre and concludes on August 15 in St. Louis. Stewart’s previous performance in the Birmingham area occurred at venues like the Legacy Arena and Oak Mountain Amphitheatre.
The Coca-Cola Amphitheater, a new $46 million venue managed by Live Nation, is set to open in June 2025 and has been eagerly anticipated by the Birmingham community. This state-of-the-art, 9,380-seat amphitheater is expected to enhance the city’s Uptown entertainment district, attracting numerous visitors and revitalizing local businesses.
Rod Stewart, noted for his distinctive sandpaper voice and wide array of musical influences, has been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame both as a solo artist and with the band Faces. His upcoming show marks one of several concerts designed to draw audiences into the heart of Birmingham.
