Ryan Reynolds, the Canadian actor and producer, is currently in Montreal filming his latest movie ‘Mayday‘ in the lively LGBTQ+ Village.
The Village, known for its diversity and inclusivity, is a vibrant mix of urban culture where LGBTQ+ and heterosexual communities come together, offering epic nightlife and excellent dining options.
This area along Sainte-Catherine Street, near the Beaudry metro station, is filled with cozy bed-and-breakfasts, specialty stores, and charming cafes.
Recently, the Village has been transformed into a retro San Diego, California setting, complete with palm trees, vintage cars, and old-school storefronts for the filming of ‘Mayday.’
Look out for Ryan Reynolds in his naval officer’s uniform between Panet and Visitation streets, as he brings the character to life on screen.
It’s rumored that Reynolds and his wife, Blake Lively, often travel together during movie shoots, so keep an eye out for her too in places like La Diperie in NDG for sweet treats, or at local bakeries like La Meunerie Urbaine and Patisserie Nancy.
Don’t miss out on the delightful coffee offerings at neighborhood spots such as Melk and Café de Mercanti, adding to the charm and character of the Village.
