The South African Broadcasting Corporation, or SABC, has announced some exciting news for football fans! They’ve landed a free-to-air broadcasting deal for the English Premier League.

As part of this new partnership, SABC will air one live Premier League match every Saturday at 15:00. Kicking things off this weekend is a thrilling face-off between Arsenal and Wolverhampton.

This season, viewers can look forward to watching a total of 33 live matches on channel 3, SABC+, and the SABC Sport website. It’s great news for anyone looking to catch the action without the premium cable price tag!

Ms. Keletso Totlhanyo, who heads up SABC Sport, expressed her enthusiasm about the deal. She said, “The acquisition of the league has always been a strategic direction of the SABC. The English Premier League creates various marketing opportunities for the SABC Sport and other SABC brands.”

She went on to say they hope to create a joyful atmosphere for South Africans and are looking forward to what they believe will be a long-lasting relationship with the Premier League.
