Sandia Resort And Casino Christmas Tree Lighting

On Monday evening, the Sandia Resort and Casino in Albuquerque, New Mexico, heralded the holiday season with a festive Christmas tree lighting ceremony. Sandia Pueblo Governor Felix Chaves led the event, inviting a group of children to assist in illuminating the towering 40-foot tree with vibrant decorations.

The Christmas tree, prominently displayed in the hotel lobby, was adorned with red and silver ornaments and capped with a large LED topper, creating a dazzling centerpiece for the event. Numerous families and guests filled the venue to witness the traditional lighting, which marks the beginning of the holiday celebrations at the resort.

«It’s a joyful occasion that brings our community and guests together,» a spokesperson for the Sandia Resort commented. «We are thrilled to share this moment with everyone who joins us each year.»

The event also featured appearances by Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus, who engaged with children in the crowd. Seven-year-old Katherine Lange and her five-year-old brother, Thomas Lange, were among the children who shared their Christmas wishes with Santa. Their encounter was a highlight for the young attendees, adding to the festive atmosphere.

As the Clauses posed for photos in front of the magnificently lit tree, families took the opportunity to capture memories and bask in the holiday spirit. The event is seen as a cherished tradition by both the local community and visitors, marking the official start of the Christmas season at Sandia Resort and Casino.
