Sawan Month Begins: Significance of Shiva Worship on Monday

The auspicious month of Sawan has commenced, marking a crucial time for devoted worshippers of Lord Shiva. Starting from July 22, 2024, this sacred period is significant for Shaivites, as each day holds exceptional meaning for prayer and rituals devoted to the deity.

During this month, devotees participate in the revered Kāvād Yatra, an annual pilgrimage that culminates on the day of Sawan Shivratri. In synchronization with this sacred journey, devotees across the nation observe the first Monday of Sawan today, an event that holds considerable importance in the hearts of Shiva followers.
