Scott McTominay Set for Napoli Move in £25.4 Million Deal
Serie A club Napoli has reached an agreement in principle with Manchester United for the transfer of midfielder Scott McTominay, valued at 30 million euros (£25.4 million).
The prospective deal is contingent upon McTominay’s willingness to leave Old Trafford, indicating several negotiations are still necessary.
Should McTominay depart, Manchester United would have the opportunity to pursue another midfielder, including interest in Paris Saint-Germain‘s Manuel Ugarte.
McTominay has primarily served as a substitute in the early stages of the current season but made a substantial contribution last year, with 43 appearances for the club.
Having joined Manchester United’s youth academy in 2012, McTominay has become a familiar name, noted for his role in the club’s recent FA Cup victory against Manchester City.
As he enters the final year of his contract, this potential transfer has attracted interest from Fulham and Turkish clubs Galatasaray and Fenerbahçe.
Meanwhile, manager Erik ten Hag is aiming to strengthen Manchester United’s squad further before the summer transfer window closes.
