Scottie Scheffler showcased an impressive performance at the 2024 Tour Championship, finishing with a score of 30 under par following a final round of 4-under 67. This victory marks his seventh win on the PGA Tour this season, becoming the first player to achieve this milestone since Tiger Woods in 2007.
With his victory at the Tour Championship, Scheffler earned a substantial reward of $25 million in bonus money. This adds to the nearly $30 million he accrued throughout the regular PGA Tour season. The event featured a total bonus pool of $100 million, benefiting all players participating this week.
The prize money distribution for the top players at the Tour Championship demonstrated significant earnings for golfers, with Collin Morikawa securing second place at 26 under par and taking home $12.5 million. Sahith Theegala followed closely in third with a score of 24 under, earning $7.5 million.
In addition to the top three, several players tied for fourth place, including Russell Henley, Adam Scott, and Xander Schauffele, each earning $4,833,333. Sungjae Im and Wyndham Clark also performed well, finishing at 18 and 17 under par respectively, with earnings of $2.75 million and $2.25 million.
Notable participants such as Rory McIlroy, Hideki Matsuyama, and Shane Lowry earned $1,608,333 each for their 16 under par scores. The competition reflected a high level of skill and excitement throughout the week at East Lake Golf Club.
