Witnesses near Brockton Point in Stanley Park recounted the dramatic scene as rescue boats swarmed around the downed seaplane in the water, highlighting the urgency of the situation.
Vancouver Police Department (VPD) stated that the collision occurred around 1 p.m. PT, with multiple individuals on board both the plane and boat sustaining injuries.
Harbour Air, a prominent seaplane operator, reassured that the five passengers and pilot on the flight were unharmed, emphasizing their cooperation with authorities to investigate the incident and support those affected.
