The search for Sebastian Rogers, a teenager with autism who went missing in Sumner County, Tennessee, has entered its sixth week as efforts to locate him persist.

Chief Deputy Eric Craddock of the Sumner County Sheriff’s Office reaffirmed their dedication to finding Sebastian during a press conference held recently.

Sebastian was last seen on February 26 after leaving his home in Hendersonville, Tennessee, in the middle of the night, according to his parents.

While a pair of glasses was discovered in recent days, authorities are still investigating whether they are linked to Sebastian’s case.

As of now, there is no evidence of foul play or criminal activity associated with Sebastian’s disappearance, authorities confirmed. The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) mentioned that Sebastian’s parents have been cooperating with the investigation since his disappearance.

Despite scaling back some search operations, state and local authorities have utilized helicopters, drones, search-and-rescue dogs, and extensive search parties to look for Sebastian. Search efforts extended to waterways and even a landfill in Kentucky in hopes of finding any signs of the missing teenager.

During the press conference, TBI stated that while the searches have been reduced, they are actively pursuing leads through traditional investigative methods, such as interviews and consulting with other law enforcement agencies for guidance.

The public is urged to remain vigilant and search their properties, especially those with large areas of land, for any unusual findings that could aid in locating Sebastian.

Authorities emphasized the importance of leaving no stone unturned and checking all potential hiding spots where Sebastian may have sought refuge.

TBI cautioned against misinformation circulating on social media, noting that false rumors and speculations have hindered the investigation progress.

Individuals with information on Sebastian’s whereabouts are encouraged to contact TBI at 1-800-TBI-FIND or via email at [email protected].
