Search for Missing Woman Jessica Zrinski Intensifies in Jenolan Caves Bushland

Homicide squad detectives have launched an extensive search in the bushland near the iconic Jenolan Caves in New South Wales as they intensify efforts to locate missing woman Jessica Zrinski. Zrinski, a 30-year-old from Sydney, was last seen outside a pub in November 2022 before vanishing without a trace.

The search operation, spanning over three days, commenced about 13 kilometers north of the Jenolan Caves within the Jenolan State Forest area. This latest search follows previous exploration efforts in the nearby Hampton State Forest back in May 2023, where authorities hoped to uncover any clues regarding Zrinski’s mysterious disappearance.

On the fateful night of her disappearance, Zrinski was last in contact with her family on Sunday, 27th November 2022. The subsequent police investigation revealed that she was spotted in the car park of a hotel at Greenfield Park, departing in a blue Holden Commodore station wagon shortly after 10 PM on Monday, 28th November.

Authorities determined that the vehicle in question traveled westward on the M4 motorway and Great Western Highway towards the Blue Mountains, fueling speculations about Zrinski’s potential whereabouts. CCTV footage released later depicted Zrinski inside the station wagon passing through Horsley Park around 10:15 PM and Mount Victoria the following morning around 8:50 AM.

The extensive search efforts have been bolstered by the deployment of resources including the police dog squad, the rescue and bomb disposal unit, along with support from dedicated volunteers. Last year, in a heartfelt plea, Zrinski’s mother, Michelle Barton, expressed the profound emotional turmoil her family has endured since they last heard from Zrinski, urging anyone with information to come forward.

This ongoing search initiative is part of the broader investigative efforts led by the NSW Police‘s Strike Force Keder, established to shed light on the circumstances surrounding Jessica Zrinski’s baffling disappearance. With each passing day, the resolve to uncover the truth and provide closure to Zrinski’s family and loved ones remains unwavering.
