Security measures are being intensified as the Republican National Convention approaches following the recent shooting incident at a rally attended by former President Donald Trump.

The fatal shooting occurred at a Trump rally in Pennsylvania, resulting in the death of Corey Comperatore and injuries to David Dutch and James Copenhaver. The shooter, identified as Thomas Matthew Crooks, was shot dead by a Secret Service sniper.

Law enforcement agencies, including the Secret Service, FBI, and local police, are on high alert amidst potential security threats ahead of the event in Milwaukee at the Fiserv Forum arena.

The convention will officially designate Trump as the GOP nominee for president, with over 2,400 delegates set to participate in the roll call vote process to confirm his nomination.

Notable speakers at the convention include Tucker Carlson, Vivek Ramaswamy, Mike Johnson, and members of Trump’s family such as Donald Jr., Kimberly Guilfoyle, and Lara Trump.

Key political figures like Tom Cotton, Byron Donalds, Ron DeSantis, and J.D. Vance are scheduled to address the convention, along with potential vice presidential candidates Marco Rubio and Tim Scott.
