Sequel to ‘Indian – the Fearless’ by Shankar falls short of audience expectations
The highly anticipated sequel to the 1996 hit movie ‘Indian – the Fearless‘ by director Shankar has left many audience members disappointed. Titled ‘Indian – the Fearless 2’, the movie failed to live up to the high expectations set by its predecessor.
The story revolves around Aravind, who runs a successful YouTube channel under the name ‘Barking Dogs’. His main aim is to expose corruption in society by uncovering hidden scandals.
Aravind finds himself in Taiwan as a retired officer, but his return to India with a message for the nation sparks a new wave of challenges and encounters with formidable foes.
Despite its attempts at creating a thrilling plot, the movie falls short due to a lack of organic flow and disjointed narratives. The serious undertones clash with comedic elements, leaving viewers confused at times.
Kamal Haasan‘s entry in the movie initially builds anticipation, but his character lacks depth and fails to engage the audience effectively. While his poetic dialogues add a touch of artistry to the film, the Telugu dubbing raises questions about the overall language consistency.
Intense action sequences, though visually striking, seem exaggerated and verge on trolling rather than adding to the narrative. Even the background music fails to meet industry standards, diminishing the impact of crucial scenes.
Shankar’s signature style is noticeably absent in this film. The lackluster portrayal of pivotal moments and characters results in an underwhelming movie experience.
Rakul Preet Singh’s role, while lengthy and dynamic, fails to deliver a strong impact as expected. Siddharth‘s portrayal of the lead character lacks the emotional depth needed to resonate with the audience.
