The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for parts of Morrison and Stearns County.
The storms were located along a line extending from Upsala to 5 miles northwest of Paynesville at 30 mph. According to radar, they are packing 60 mph wind gusts and quarter-size hail. The weather could damage vehicles, roofs, siding, and trees. The warning goes to 6:15 p.m.
Albany, Freeport, Upsala, New Munich, Elmdale, Lake Henry, Spring Hill, St. Rosa, and St. Martin are in the path of the storm.
Remain alert for a possible tornado. A watch remains in effect until 8:00 p.m.
