Sheffield Wednesday Faces Plymouth in Championship Opener
Sheffield Wednesday is set to take on Plymouth Argyle this Sunday in their Championship campaign opener. Both teams are coming off a precarious last season where they barely avoided relegation.
Last year, Sheffield Wednesday finished in 20th place while Plymouth Argyle ended up just one spot below in 21st. They both managed to escape the drop zone, but it was a tight finish, with Plymouth ending just one point away from the relegation zone.
Sheffield Wednesday’s new manager, Danny Rohl, is feeling optimistic. The Owls turned things around towards the end of last season, winning their last three matches and finishing three points clear of danger. Rohl is hoping that momentum will carry over into this new season.
On the other hand, Plymouth has undergone several changes during the off-season. They have brought in Wayne Rooney as their new head coach. Rooney, who previously managed Birmingham City, signed a three-year contract with the club back in May.
The match is scheduled to kick off at 4 PM on August 11th, and fans can tune in to watch live coverage starting at 3:15 PM on selected sports channels.
