Shogun has taken the lead in the nominations for the 2024 Emmy Awards, with a total of 25 nominations being revealed today. The series has secured an impressive recognition, alongside other top contenders like The Bear, which received 23 nominations, and True Detective: Night Country and The Crown, both landing high in the nomination list.

Overall, the Emmy nominations this year have been distributed across various programs, with FX leading with 107 nominations, followed by various networks like FX, HBO, and Apple TV+. Notably, The Walt Disney Co. has reached a personal-best tally with 183 Emmy nominations, showcasing the diversity and quality of their content.

The announcement of this year’s Emmy nominees was made by Cris Abrego and Television Academy from the historic El Capitan Theatre in a grand ceremony. During this event, Abbott Elementary star Ralph was surprised with the news of her second Emmy nomination, creating an exciting and high-spirited atmosphere among the nominees.

The 76th Primetime Emmy Awards is scheduled to be broadcasted live from the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday, Sept. 15, with the Creative Arts ceremonies set to take place on Sept. 7 and 8. While the ceremony’s host is yet to be announced, the production team of Jesse Collins, Dionne Harmon, and Jeannae Rouzan-Clay are prepared to execute the telecast.

Earlier this year, the 2023 Emmy Awards were held in a unique ceremony due to the strikes in the entertainment industry. Noteworthy winners from that event included Succession, The Bear, and Beef, indicating a changing landscape within TV shows and series.
