Simone Biles is making headlines again, this time after a big win for the US women’s gymnastics team at the Paris Olympics. Biles took to Instagram to post a picture of herself and her teammates celebrating their victory, but it seems she also had some words for MyKayla Skinner.

In her post, Biles appeared to subtly respond to comments made by Skinner, who previously expressed that the current gymnastics team’s “depth isn’t what it used to be.” Biles captioned her photo with the phrase, “Lack of talent, lazy, Olympic champions,” a cheeky nod that many have interpreted as a dig at Skinner.

McKayla Maroney, Biles’ fellow gymnast and friend, jumped into the conversation, congratulating Biles and playfully apologizing for sharing a similar name to Skinner. Maroney commented, “It doesn’t get more iconic than this… She f’d around n found out fr,” which set a light-hearted tone in the midst of the social media drama.

Despite the tension, Skinner did celebrate the team’s gold medal win with a post of her own featuring the victorious squad. However, the interactions sparked rumors of a feud when Biles shared a tweet saying, “oops I’ve been blocked,” indicating she no longer had access to Skinner’s posts.

Jordan Chiles, also part of the winning team, added to the playful drama by posting a screenshot that showed Biles couldn’t see Skinner’s content anymore, captioning it, “When she blocks Simone.” This only fueled the speculation among fans.

Skinner had gone viral recently for her comment about the current level of talent in gymnastics, claiming that besides Biles, the talent pool and work ethic among the younger gymnasts were lacking. “Besides Simone, I feel like the talent and the depth just isn’t like what it used to be,” she said in an interview.

Following the backlash, Skinner attempted to clarify her comments in a video, saying they were more reflective of her own experience returning to gymnastics rather than a criticism of her teammates. She emphasized her pride and support for the current team and the hard work they put in.
