Nigerian rapper Babalola Falemi, popularly known as Sinzu or Sauce Kid, has recently made headlines by calling out skit maker Nosa Afolabi, also known as Lasisi Elenu. Sinzu claims that Lasisi has stolen his name ‘Sinzu’ during the time he served his jail sentence.

The rapper, who faced legal issues in the United Kingdom for fraud and illegally using multiple bank cards, expressed his concerns in a video circulating online. He mentioned that upon returning from prison, he found that Lasisi had already been using his name on X (formerly Twitter), which caught him by surprise.

While addressing his fans, Sinzu revealed that many Gen Z individuals were unaware of his past and instead recognized Lasisi as the ‘real’ Sinzu. He stated, ‘There is this guy on Twitter who stole my name Sinzu Money and went with a whole skit with it.’ This revelation has sparked discussions on social media.

Reactions poured in from fans and followers, with some expressing support for Sinzu. User @iambankalat reminisced about Sinzu’s hit song ‘Carolina,’ demonstrating his impact on the music scene. Others noted that the entertainment industry has shifted, with newer trends taking center stage.

User comments varied from supportive to critical, with one saying, ‘You can’t blame Lasisi for your misfortunes though,’ highlighting that while Sinzu may be a fan favorite, the landscape has dramatically changed during his absence.

Despite this controversy, Sinzu remains a significant figure in the music industry, as many still remember him from his earlier projects and collaborations, particularly with artists like Davido and Ikechukwu.
