Bafana Bafana‘s quest for COSAFA Cup glory came to an end despite a hard-fought victory over Eswatini. The South African national team, led by assistant coach Helman Mkhalele, secured a 1-0 win but failed to advance to the next stage due to goal difference.

In the heart of South Africa’s midfield during the tournament in Gqeberha stood Stellenbosch‘s rising star, Thabo Moloisane. The talented player showcased his skills throughout the matches, aiding in two clean sheets for the national team.

Joining Moloisane in the national colors were his Stellies’ teammates Devin Titus, Antonio van Wyk, and Athenkosi Mcaba. Titus featured in the starting lineup for the first two games, displaying his prowess on the field.

The quartet from Stellenbosch will now return to their club as they resume pre-season preparations for the upcoming campaign. Despite the disappointment in the COSAFA Cup, their experience on the regional stage will undoubtedly benefit their future performances.
