South African Multi-Talented Personality Adrian Alper Passes Away at 56
Renowned South African multi-talented personality Andrian Alper, popular for his roles as an actor, director, writer, comedian, voice artist, presenter, and M.C, has sadly passed away at the age of 56.
Alper was widely recognized for his portrayal of Calvin in the hit SABC3 sitcom ‘Streaks’ in 1995, and he had notable roles in TV series like ‘Generations‘ and ‘Isidingo’, among others.
According to Tvsa, he studied at the United World College of the Atlantic before beginning his extensive travels and entertainment career.
In more recent times, Alper had focused his talents on directing for television, boasting directing credits for popular shows such as ‘Isidingo’, ‘Backstage’, ‘Madam & Eve’, ‘Shado’s’, and ‘Scandal’.
Throughout his career, Alper also showcased his writing skills, contributing to various television series and theatre productions like ‘Rainbow Starship’, ‘Pezoolies’, and ‘SOS‘.
Alper returned to South Africa after his travels, where he made a mark in the theater industry, earning nominations and praise for his performances. Additionally, his voice talents were featured in commercials, educational broadcasts, and various animated characters.
The multi-talented artist was fluent in languages such as English and Afrikaans, with conversational skills in Dutch and French, and a basic understanding of Russian.
