Spanish Actor Julián Ortega Passes Away at 41
Julián Ortega, a prominent actor known for his role in the Spanish series «Elite,» has tragically passed away at the age of 41. His death occurred on August 25 while he was visiting Zahora Beach in Barbate, Spain, according to reports from local news outlets.
Initially, it was reported that Ortega had drowned; however, authorities later clarified that he suffered cardiac arrest while on the shore. Paramedics attempted to revive him for several minutes, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Ortega was well-recognized for his portrayal of the manager of the «La Cabana» restaurant in the first season of the Netflix series «Elite,» which has gained international acclaim since its debut in 2018. The show concluded its eighth season on July 26, 2024.
Following the news of his passing, his co-star from the series «The Countryside,» Paco Collado, expressed his sorrow on social media, highlighting Ortega’s sympathy, generosity, and professionalism.
In addition to «Elite,» Ortega’s career included appearances in various other works, such as «4 estrellas,» «Untameable,» and «Mylove Lost.» His contributions to the Spanish entertainment industry have been recognized and appreciated by many.
