Peter Okoye, one half of the popular Nigerian music duo P-Square, has spoken out following recent interviews from his brother, Paul Okoye, where Paul claimed he was the primary songwriter behind most of their songs.

In a heartfelt open letter shared on social media, Peter expressed how hurt he felt about Paul’s comments, which he believes continuously diminish his contributions to the group.

Peter stated, ‘My dear brother Paul, I am not in any competition with you or anybody else. However, seeing you grant countless interviews where you constantly discredit my efforts in the group really speaks volumes.’ He mentioned that Paul claimed he wrote and sang 99% of their songs.

Additionally, Peter highlighted several of their hit tracks like ‘Ejeajo’, ‘Get-Squared’, and ‘Bizzy Body,’ questioning if those were also considered failures, as Paul recently suggested.

He further lamented that their combined efforts are what made P-Square special and questioned why Paul has chosen a path of undermining him.

‘The fans loved P-Square because of our unique partnership, not just one person’s talent,’ he pointed out, emphasizing unity over individual fame.

In this ongoing feud, Peter accused Paul of ignoring his contributions and always siding with their elder brother Jude, which he believes has added to the tension between them.

Peter concluded his message by hoping to move forward with his music peacefully despite the conflicts that have arisen between them.
