Suspect Wanted For Triple Homicide Arrested In Morrilton, Arkansas

The alleged suspect, Stacy Lee Drake, who was deemed ‘armed and dangerous’ in connection with three homicides in Oklahoma, has been apprehended in Morrilton, Arkansas, following a widespread manhunt spanning nearly two days. The Arkansas State Police confirmed the arrest, which took place around 10 a.m. on Thursday. Drake was discovered in a wooded area in Morrilton and captured without any confrontation, as mentioned by investigators.

Drake was sought in relation to three murders in Oklahoma, linked to two distinct carjackings. He was additionally facing multiple felony warrants from various jurisdictions, with charges including aggravated robbery, carjacking, and homicide. The search operation entailed the collaborative effort of the Morrilton Police Department, Arkansas State Police, Conway County Sheriff’s Office, Arkansas National Guard, and the Arkansas Division of Community Correction.

Providing further details, the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation shed light on two of the homicides that occurred in Sequoyah County, where a man and a woman were found deceased inside a business. While the identities of the victims are yet to be disclosed, authorities mentioned that both victims exhibited injuries consistent with homicide.

Previously sighted on foot near a motel in Morrilton, approximately 53 miles northwest of Little Rock, Drake had a vehicle allegedly stolen by him found in Morrilton. This revelation came after the bodies were located in Sequoyah County, Oklahoma, on Tuesday evening, putting Morrilton roughly 130 miles east of the crime scene.
