In an exciting turn of events at the shooting competition in Chateauroux, Indian shooter Swapnil Kusale has made it to the finals of the 50-meter rifle event. He secured his spot by finishing in seventh place during the qualification round, which was quite a remarkable feat among the 44 competitors.

Kusale showed impressive skills with his shots, scoring 198 points in the kneeling position, 197 in prone, and 195 when standing, making for a total of 590 points. His scores helped him edge out some tough competitors, including China’s Liu Yukun and Ukraine’s Serhiy Kulish.

Coached by Tejaswini Sawant in Kolhapur, Kusale’s journey in this event reflects not only his dedication but also the excellent training he receives. Meanwhile, fellow Indian shooter Aishwary Tomar didn’t have the same luck, finishing in 11th place and missing out on the finals.

The pressure was high as the top eight shooters were selected for the final round, and Kusale managed to secure his spot just in time. His final scores were particularly impressive when matched against other top contenders like Norway’s Jon-Hermann Hegg, who took second place with 593 points, and Ukraine’s Kulish, with 592 points.

As the finals are set to take place tomorrow, fans are eagerly anticipating how Kusale will perform under pressure, especially after his strong showing in qualifications. The atmosphere is already buzzing, and everybody is hopeful that he continues to carry forward his momentum.
