Actress Sydney Sweeney faced an unexpected real-life scare while filming a scene for the rom-com ‘Anyone but You’.

In a surprising turn of events, Sweeney was bitten by a real Huntsman spider during a scene that involved a spider crawling on her hand.

The incident took place during a sequence where Sweeney’s character, Bea, finds the spider in co-star Glen Powell’s shorts.

This unexpected event added a real sense of fear to the scene, as Sweeney’s reaction to the spider bite was initially mistaken for an intense acting choice.

Director Will Gluck and the crew had chosen to use a real spider in the scene to achieve a more authentic reaction, leading to the spider biting Sweeney as she agitated it.

Despite the shock of the incident, Sweeney’s lasting marks from the spider bite serve as a reminder of the unexpected dangers that can arise during filming.

Aside from the spider incident, ‘Anyone but You’ also faced challenges with local wildlife while shooting scenes in Sydney Harbor.

Both Sweeney and Powell had to wear ankle bracelets as a precaution against sharks during the filming of water scenes.

The production team encountered restrictions on filming in the harbor at night due to the presence of sharks, prompting the use of shark tanks for certain shots.

Director Gluck revealed that the more they filmed in the waters, the more encounters they had with sharks, adding another level of excitement to the movie’s production.
