Tara Davis-Woodhall is making headlines as she clinched the gold medal in the women’s long jump at the Paris Olympics. With her incredible leap of 7.10 meters, she not only secured her first Olympic title but also her first Olympic medal ever.
Davis-Woodhall’s performance was outstanding throughout the competition. She initially led the qualifying rounds with a jump of 6.90 meters, just shy of the jump that helped her win silver at the world championships last year.

In a thrilling finish, Davis-Woodhall’s teammate, Jasmine Moore, also performed well, taking home the bronze medal with a jump of 6.96 meters. Meanwhile, Germany’s Malaika Mihambo secured the silver with a jump of 6.98 meters, rounding out a competitive podium.
After winning the gold, Davis-Woodhall celebrated in style by making sand angels in the pit during her final jump. The joyous moment continued when she rushed into the stands to embrace her husband, Paralympian Hunter Woodhall, showcasing a heartfelt connection amid the excitement.
