TDP MP Ram Mohan Naidu Set to Become Youngest Member of Central Cabinet
Srikakulam MP Kinjarapu Rammohan Naidu from the Telugu Desam Party is set to create history as the youngest member of the Central Cabinet under Prime Minister-designate Narendra Modi at the age of 36.
Coming from a political lineage, with his father being the former Union Minister Yerran Naidu, known for his early ministerial stint at the age of 39, Ram Mohan Naidu’s journey in politics has been remarkable.
With an educational background in electrical engineering from Purdue University and an MBA from Long Island University, Rammohan Naidu’s entry into politics after his father’s untimely demise in 2012 marked a significant turning point in his career trajectory.
His swift rise within the TDP ranks, owing to a strong association with party stalwarts like Chandrababu Naidu and Nara Lokesh, led to his election as the MP from Srikakulam in 2014, making him one of the youngest members of the Parliament at the time.
Throughout his tenure, Rammohan Naidu has actively participated in parliamentary proceedings, showcasing exemplary performance that earned him accolades such as the Sansad Ratna Award in 2020 for his dedicated service as an MP.
In the recent Lok Sabha elections, Rammohan Naidu secured his third consecutive victory from Srikakulam constituency, defeating his opponent from the YSR Congress Party by a significant margin of 3.2 lakh votes.
His commitment to public service and aligning with the TDP’s ideology has set him apart as one of the most promising young leaders in Andhra Pradesh politics, carrying forward the legacy of his father who was a revered figure in the party.
With his diverse experience in both academia and politics, Rammohan Naidu’s selection for a ministerial role in the new Cabinet highlights the party’s trust in his capabilities and vision for inclusive governance.
