Teen Hospitalized After Incident at Canada’s Wonderland Ride
A 17-year-old girl is currently receiving medical care at the hospital following a concerning incident at Canada's Wonderland theme park in Vaughan.
Emergency services were alerted to the amusement park at approximately 2:30 p.m., where the teenager encountered a medical emergency while on the Swing of the Century attraction.
Authorities explained that the young girl experienced a health issue that resulted in her falling from the ride, leading to her being transported to a nearby medical facility in critical condition.
A spokesperson representing Canada’s Wonderland acknowledged that a guest had fallen from the Swing of the Century ride, prompting the park staff to take immediate action.
In response to the incident, an active investigation is underway to determine the circumstances that led to the fall, emphasizing the park’s commitment to ensuring the safety of its visitors and employees.
The Technical Safety and Standard Authority (TSSA) conducted an inspection of the ride on-site, confirming its operational safety, and granted permission for it to remain open to the public on the following day.
