Teenager Hospitalized After Falling From Ride at Canada’s Wonderland
A 17-year-old girl is currently in the hospital after experiencing a medical emergency and falling from a ride at Canada's Wonderland amusement park.
Responding to a call at approximately 2:30 p.m., emergency services from York Regional Police rushed to the park located in Vaughan.
An official from Canada’s Wonderland confirmed that the incident, involving a fall, was reported by operators of the Swing of the Century ride.
A spokesperson for the amusement park assured that an investigation into the incident is already underway, emphasizing the priority placed on the safety of visitors.
The Technical Safety and Standard Authority (TSSA) officials conducted an inspection of the scene and found the ride safe. As a result, the Swing of the Century ride will continue to operate as usual on the following day.
