Director Pa. Ranjith’s latest film ‘Thangalaan’, featuring Vikram in a key role, has captivated Telugu audiences since its release.

The movie is set in the 1850s during British rule and tells the story of a tribal leader named Thangalaan, played by Vikram, who struggles to protect his family’s land and heritage.

Alongside him, Parvathi Thiruvothu plays his wife Ganga, and the couple faces numerous challenges when unknown attackers destroy their crops and their land is seized.

Amidst these hardships, a British character named Clement, portrayed by Daniel Caltagirone, arrives with promises of wealth through gold mining in the nearby forests.

The film takes an interesting turn when Thangalaan encounters a mystical character, Aarthi, played by Malavika Mohanan, who seems to protect the gold with supernatural powers.

Throughout the film, the audience is taken on a thrilling adventure as Thangalaan and his crew navigate the challenges of extracting gold while dealing with their conflicts.

While the first half of the movie is filled with suspense and excitement, the second half reportedly loses some momentum, leading to a somewhat confusing climax.

Vikram’s performance as Thangalaan has been widely praised, showcasing his commitment to the role, while the cast’s chemistry and visual storytelling also stood out.

Overall, ‘Thangalaan’ has opened doors for exploration of social issues, making it a notable addition to both Vikram’s career and Ranjith’s filmography.
