In a heart-pounding final at La Concorde, Yuto Horigome showed his skills and determination to defend his Olympic title in men’s skateboarding. On July 29, his final trick wowed the crowd and propelled him to victory.

Close behind him was Jagger Eaton from Team USA, who secured silver with just 0.1 points lower than Horigome, while Nyjah Huston took home the bronze, marking his first Olympic medal. Eaton had held the lead for much of the competition but faced tough competition from Horigome as the event unfolded.

Ryan Sheckler, a legendary figure in the skateboarding world, expressed his excitement, saying it was the most thrilling final he had ever seen. The atmosphere in the Urban Park was electric, with fans on the edge of their seats as the skaters pushed each other to reach new heights.

Horigome began the final round in seventh place after struggling in his previous attempts. However, he found his rhythm when it mattered the most and landed an astonishing trick that earned him a score of 97.08, the highest of the day, securing his second Olympic gold.

Snoop Dogg himself was in attendance, enjoying the event, which made for a vibrant and festive environment with cheers from fans representing countries like Japan, the United States, and Brazil.

Several athletes made history in what was their first Olympic appearance in the men’s street finals, including Richard Tury from Slovakia, Matias Dell Olio from Argentina, and Cordano Russell from Canada. Russell thrilled the crowd with his performance but, unfortunately, fell short of the medal standings.

As the competition wrapped up, it became clear that the excitement of skateboarding at the Olympics would encourage new fans and inspire the next generation of skaters around the world.
