The by-election results for 13 Assembly constituencies across seven states in India have showcased a fierce competition between the ruling and opposition parties. The All India Trinamool Congress (TMC) is currently leading in all four seats in West Bengal, including Rupauli, Raiganj, Ranaghat Dakshin, and Bagda.

In Punjab, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) candidate Mohinder Bhagat has taken the lead in the Jalandhar West constituency, while in Himachal Pradesh, the Congress candidate Kamlesh Thakur, wife of Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, is slightly ahead in Dehra.

Bihar witnessed a voter turnout of over 57% in the Rupauli bypoll following the resignation of MLA Bima Bharti. Madhya Pradesh‘s Amarwara seat saw a 78.71% turnout after Congress MLA Kamlesh Shah switched to the BJP. Tamil Nadu‘s Vikravandi assembly constituency had a voter turnout of 82.48% due to the passing of DMK legislator N Pughazhendhi.
