Toledo Police Seek Public Assistance in Rideshare Carjacking Investigation

The Toledo Police Department has requested the community’s assistance in identifying two individuals suspected in a carjacking incident involving a rideshare driver. The announcement was made through a Facebook post from the department.

Authorities reported that on November 3, 2024, a rideshare driver was carjacked in the 1300 block of Fitchland Avenue. During the ride, one of the suspects allegedly brandished a firearm and commanded the driver to exit the vehicle. The suspects subsequently drove away in the stolen car.

The police have encouraged anyone with information concerning the incident to reach out via Crime Stoppers, either by calling or texting 419-255-1111. Information leading to an arrest could qualify tipsters for a reward of up to $5,000.
