Tom Hardy Returns in ‘Venom: The Last Dance’ Trailer, Marking Final Installment of Trilogy
Sony Pictures has unveiled the first trailer for ‘Venom: The Last Dance,’ marking the climax of the Spider-Man villain trilogy. Tom Hardy reprises his role as Eddie Brock, also known as the menacing Venom from the Spider-Man comics. Touted as the final film in the trilogy, the movie delves into Eddie and Venom’s flight from both worlds as they are pursued relentlessly.
The trailer showcases Hardy’s confrontation with a colossal alien symbiote from Venom’s home planet, coupled with intense government pursuit. Symbiote action abounds, along with a thrilling scene of Hardy riding a Venom-infused horse at breakneck speed. Joining Hardy in the cast are Juno Temple from ‘Ted Lasso’ and Chiwetel Ejiofor from ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’.
MCU fans recently glimpsed Venom in ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home‘ when the villain was caught up in Dr. Strange’s multiverse spell gone awry. Albeit briefly transported into the MCU, Venom surprisingly left behind a fragment of his symbiote in the main universe, setting the stage for ‘The Last Dance.’
The third entry in the series, ‘Venom: The Last Dance,’ was teased by Sony at CinemaCon 2022 following the triumph of its predecessors. ‘Venom’ raked in a staggering $856 million globally, while its sequel ‘Let There Be Carnage’ garnered over $502 million worldwide despite a pandemic-induced release.
‘Venom: The Last Dance’ not only marks the directorial debut of Kelly Marcel, the writer of the first two films in the series but also sees her collaborate with Hardy on the script. Marcel, Hardy, Avi Arad, Hutch Parker, Amy Pascal, and Matt Tolmach serve as producers for the upcoming film.
An exciting culmination to the Venom trilogy, ‘The Last Dance’ hits theaters on Oct. 25, promising a fitting conclusion to Eddie and Venom’s odyssey. Watch the trailer to catch a glimpse of the thrilling symbiotic action and the impending resolution of the Venom saga.
