Toronto Blue Jays left-fielder Daulton Varsho faced a concerning moment during the team’s game against the San Francisco Giants. In the second inning, Varsho attempted to avoid a tag from Giants pitcher Logan Webb while sliding headfirst into first base.
However, Varsho’s maneuver resulted in him being slow to get up, raising alarm among teammates, coaching staff, and fans in attendance at the stadium.
Medical staff immediately rushed to Varsho’s aid, assessing the extent of the injury as Varsho remained on the ground, displaying visible signs of discomfort.
After a few tense moments, Varsho was eventually able to stand up, albeit with some assistance, and was escorted off the field for further evaluation.
