Tragedy unfolded at a satsang in the district of Hathras, Uttar Pradesh, claiming the lives of 107 individuals, including women and children. The catastrophic incident occurred during the religious gathering organized by the Manav Mangal Milan Sadbhavna Samagam Committee for self-proclaimed godman Narayan Sakar Hari.

Confirming the grim toll, Commissioner of Aligarh, Chaitra V, revealed that 107 people perished, with 27 of the fatalities reported in the neighboring Etah district. Additionally, around 18 individuals suffered injuries during the chaotic stampede that ensued.

The stampede erupted post the satsang in a village of Hathras, as recounted by a senior police official, Rajesh Kumar Singh. Eyewitnesses shared harrowing accounts of the narrow exit pathway leading to the disastrous turn of events, leaving many attendees crushed and trampled amidst the chaos.
