Tragedy Strikes Texas Couple on Vacation in Mexico

Texas couple Lizette Zambrano and her husband Jorge Zambrano’s vacation in the Mexican resort town of Puerto Peñasco turned into a tragic event, leaving Lizette a widow and grieving the loss of her beloved husband.

In an emotional interview with ABC News, Lizette Zambrano recounted the harrowing incident where she and Jorge were electrocuted while in a hot tub, resulting in Jorge’s untimely death and severe injuries to herself.

Lizette Zambrano expressed her disbelief and sorrow, stating, «I feel that this could have been prevented. A very good man was taken away, and I still can’t believe it.»

Following the incident, Lizette has filed a wrongful death lawsuit against the resort, alleging that faulty wiring led to a live electric current in the water.

The lawsuit seeks $1 million in damages from the vacation rental company involved in the incident, while the company has denied any responsibility, claiming that maintenance of the resort’s common areas falls under the homeowners association.
