Travis Kelce Acting Career

Travis Kelce, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end, has recently expanded his acting career by securing a role in the new Lionsgate action film titled ‘Loose Cannons.’ This news comes just months after his upcoming role in FX‘s ‘Grotesquerie’ was announced.

Furthermore, Kelce has taken on the role of host for an upcoming quiz show. Fans of the star have begun to draw comparisons between Kelce’s rapidly growing television and film resume and that of Taylor Swift‘s former boyfriend, actor Joe Alwyn. Swift and Alwyn were in a relationship for six years before their breakup, and Alwyn has made a name for himself with roles in films like ‘Harriet,’ ‘Boy Erased,’ and ‘Conversations With Friends.’

On social media, some fans noted that Kelce appears to be booking more acting roles in just a few months than Alwyn has in six years. A particularly viral tweet stated, ‘Booking more acting gigs in 6 months than Joe Alwyn did in 6 years is crazy,’ generating considerable attention with over 1,000 shares and 33,000 likes.

Responses to this tweet varied, with some fans supporting the sentiment, while others provided evidence from Alwyn’s filmography, reminding users of his numerous projects between 2018 and the present. Alwyn’s upcoming works include ‘The Brutalist,’ ‘Hamlet,’ and ‘Hamnet.’

Despite the comparison, Kelce is making significant strides in his acting career. In addition to ‘Loose Cannons’ and ‘Grotesquerie,’ Adam Sandler has announced that Kelce will also appear in a sequel to an unspecified film. Additionally, Kelce is credited as an executive producer for an upcoming movie titled ‘My Dead Friend Zoe,’ set to be released in November.

In a recent interview, Kelce discussed his experience in portraying a fictional character for the first time in ‘Grotesquerie,’ expressing his eagerness to learn and grow in the role. He stated, ‘I feel like an amateur right now, but it’s definitely a fun challenge, and I’m enjoying every bit of it, for sure… I’m coachable.’

‘Grotesquerie’ is set to premiere on September 25, offering fans a chance to witness Kelce’s acting skills.
