Tulsa King Season 3 Remains Uncertain Amid Cliffhanger Finale
As the curtain fell on the second season of «Tulsa King,» viewers were left wondering about the future of the popular series created by Taylor Sheridan. Sylvester Stallone stars as Dwight «The General» Manfredi, a mob capo dispatched to Tulsa by his bosses, opening a new chapter in his crime-filled life. Known for its high-stakes drama, Season 2 concluded recently on Paramount+, sparking speculations about a possible continuation.
Season 2 saw Dwight navigating a complex web of relationships and challenges. His entanglement with Stacy Beale, played by Andrea Savage, had significant consequences, culminating in a federal set-up and trial. While Dwight was acquitted, he found himself at odds with powerful adversaries, including oil and cannabis mogul Cal Thresher, portrayed by Neal McDonough, and gangster Jackie Ming, played by Rich Ting.
The narrative thickened as Dwight faced external pressures from his former boss, Charles «Chickie» Invernizzi, and his associate Vince Antonacci. Tensions reached a peak as Kansas City mob leader Bill Bevilaqua, depicted by Frank Grillo, entered the fray. Season 2’s resolution left audiences on the edge of their seats, with Bill and Chickie’s alliance threatening Dwight’s grip on his Tulsa operations.
In a stunning twist, Bill executed Chickie in Dwight’s presence, forcing Dwight to relinquish half of his business to Bill. As Dwight faced mounting pressure from federal surveillance, the finale further complicated his situation. A masked group abducted Dwight, revealing themselves as covert operatives with plans to leverage him as an informant.
Although «Tulsa King» has yet to officially announce a third season, Sylvester Stallone hinted at its likelihood. In conversation with USA Today, Stallone mentioned he envisioned a broader geographic scope for Dwight, expanding his operations across more states. «I’m going to take him on a journey that he’s never expecting,» said Stallone, emphasizing the theme of Dwight’s fish-out-of-water experience.
Stallone also teased the introduction of a new character within the shadowy organization, suggesting a high-profile actor awaits casting. «It has to be an important actor, someone we haven’t seen in a while,» Stallone revealed. The series continues to stream on Paramount+ as fans eagerly await confirmation of its next installment.
