Tulsi Gabbard Endorses Donald Trump for Presidential Bid
Former Democratic Representative Tulsi Gabbard from Hawaii has officially endorsed Donald Trump in his presidential campaign. Gabbard stated that Trump will help to keep America out of endless wars.
During her endorsement speech in Detroit at the National Guard Association of the United States, Gabbard expressed her commitment to supporting Trump and emphasized the importance of his understanding of the responsibilities of a President and Commander in Chief.
Gabbard is recognized for her previous presidential run in 2019 and gained attention for her critical comments towards Kamala Harris during a debate. She has been vocal about her discontent with the Democratic Party, characterizing it as an “elitist cabal of warmongers.”
Gabbard’s endorsement aligns with her previous support for the Republican nominee, a sentiment she has maintained even during her time as a congresswoman. She was the only lawmaker to support Trump during his impeachment process regarding Ukraine.
The endorsement was made poignant by its proximity to the anniversary of the suicide bombing at Hamid Karzai International Airport, which resulted in the deaths of 13 U.S. service members. Gabbard praised Trump for his approach to engaging with adversaries and emphasized his commitment to peace.
Her endorsement reflects a significant political shift, moving away from her prior affiliation with the Democratic Party. In recent months, she has also made appearances as a commentator on Fox News and launched her own podcast.
Gabbard’s endorsement follows that of Robert F. Kennedy Jr., another prominent figure who departed from the Democratic Party, indicating a potential trend among former Democrats aligning with Trump.
