The first incident occurred in Manjunathnagar near Basaveshwaranagar, where a 24-year-old man identified as Srinivas from Bidar, was fatally electrocuted while charging his mobile phone in a paying guest accommodation.

Srinivas, who was pursuing a computer course and residing with roommates, was discovered by his companions who promptly rushed him to a nearby private hospital. However, the medical team declared him ‘brought dead’ upon arrival.

The authorities have registered a case of unnatural death in this tragic incident and are awaiting the post-mortem report to determine the exact cause of Srinivas’s electrocution. Additionally, they have enlisted the help of the electrical inspectorate to conduct a detailed investigation into the circumstances of the accident.

In a separate incident at Yartiganahalli, an 18-year-old labourer named Shreyas faced a similar fate when he came in contact with a live wire while working on an under-construction community hall. Despite being swiftly transported to the hospital, Shreyas was also pronounced dead upon arrival.
