Two Injured in Crash on I-29 in Fargo Amid Icy Conditions
Two individuals sustained minor injuries following a vehicular collision on Interstate 29 in Fargo, North Dakota, late Tuesday night. The North Dakota Highway Patrol (NDHP) reported the incident, which occurred shortly after 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday, November 19, near the 19th Avenue North exit.
The crash involved a pickup truck and an SUV. According to authorities, the SUV was decelerating to take the exit when it was rear-ended by the pickup truck, whose driver failed to react in time. The driver of the pickup truck, aged 74, and a 71-year-old passenger were both transported to a local hospital with minor injuries. The driver of the SUV was reportedly unharmed.
Officials from the NDHP noted that the roads were icy at the time of the crash, which may have contributed to the incident. While the crash remains under investigation, the State Patrol mentioned that the driver of the pickup truck could potentially face charges.
