Tyler, the Creator Cancels Lollapalooza and Outside Lands Headlining Sets

Renowned artist Tyler, the Creator regrettably announced his withdrawal from headlining performances at this year’s Lollapalooza and Outside Lands music festivals.

This decision was shared in a message posted on X, formerly Twitter, where Tyler expressed remorse for the cancellation, citing an inability to fulfill a prior commitment. The acclaimed rapper noted his disappointment at not being able to meet the expectations of his eager fans.

Tyler was initially set to co-headline the first night at Lollapalooza with Hozier and top the lineup at Outside Lands, alongside artists like the Killers, Sturgill Simpson, and the Postal Service. The festivals quickly announced replacements in the form of Sabrina Carpenter for the respective headlining slots previously occupied by Tyler.

No specific reason was provided for the sudden cancellation of Tyler’s performances at the two major music festivals.

Lollapalooza, scheduled to take place at Chicago’s Grant Park from August 1-4, and Outside Lands, set for August 9-11 in San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park, will now feature Sabrina Carpenter stepping in for Tyler, the Creator.

Having headlined both Lollapalooza and Outside Lands in 2021, Tyler’s absence this year comes as a surprise to many, especially after his recent standout performances at events like Kendrick Lamar‘s Pop-Out.
