Renowned Ukhozi FM presenter and Crown Gospel Awards winner, Zanele Mbokazi, has received the diagnosis of lung cancer, as revealed by her husband, Bishop Mpendulo Nkambule.

The unsettling news emerged after Mbokazi fell ill on April 21, experiencing vocal challenges that led to her early exit from hosting her show, Eshilo, being temporarily filled by Thokozani MaMkhize Ndlovu.

Following this health episode, Zanele’s daughter, Nonjabulo, recently shared details about her mother undergoing a minor surgery due to breathing difficulties.

During a broadcast on Ukhozi FM’s Vuka Afrika Breakfast Show, Nkambule disclosed the heart-wrenching update on Zanele’s condition.

He divulged that after extensive testing and an ensuing surgical procedure, medical professionals discovered that Zanele Mbokazi is battling lung cancer.

Expressing shock over the diagnosis, Mpendulo Nkambule asked for privacy and urged for prayers from well-wishers during this challenging time.

In their plea for support, Nkambule stressed the reliance on faith amidst the family’s turmoil and called for continued prayer and respect for their privacy.

As the news reverberated, Zanele took to social media, sharing a video of the announcement with a resolute caption: ‘Cancer will bow’.
