In the midst of Ukraine‘s ongoing turmoil due to the Russian invasion, three Ukrainian boxers have emerged victorious in recent international matches, showcasing their resilience and skill on the global stage.

On May 12th, Vasyl Lomachenko, a two-time Olympic Gold Medalist, secured the vacant IBF World Lightweight and IBO World Lightweight titles in a dominant performance against George Kambosos Jr. in Australia. This triumph marked Lomachenko’s ascent to a 3-division world champion, solidifying his status as a boxing great.
