Uncapped Indian Bowler Rasikh Salam Dar Acquired by RCB for ₹6 Crore
In a notable development at the 2025 Indian Premier League auction, uncapped Indian pacer Rasikh Salam Dar has been acquired by the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) for a substantial amount of ₹6 crore. The auction event transpired in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, marking a significant expenditure for the Bangalore-based franchise.
Initially setting his base price at ₹30 lakh, Salam became a focal point of a competitive bidding situation. The Sunrisers Hyderabad initially entered the bidding fray, closely competing with RCB to secure the young pacer. As the auction heated up, the Delhi Capitals also engaged by exercising their Right to Match (RTM) card.
Ultimately, RCB emerged as the successful bidders after increasing their offer to outpace their competitors. This acquisition reflects RCB’s strategic interest in bolstering their bowling lineup with promising, young talent. «Rasikh Dar will be joining the RCB squad. It’s an exciting opportunity for both the player and the team,» an RCB representative commented during the event.
