United States of America, ranked 19th in T20Is, pulled off a remarkable five-wicket victory over Bangladesh, the 9th ranked team, in the first T20 encounter in Prairie View, Texas. This win marked the USA‘s second win against a Full Member team in T20Is, with Corey Anderson and Harmeet Singh playing pivotal roles in the victory.

The match saw Bangladesh post a total of 153/6 in their 20 overs, with standout performances by Towhid Hridoy and Mahmudullah. Steven Taylor‘s impressive 3-9-2 spell helped keep Bangladesh’s score in check.

In response, the USA got off to a shaky start, losing wickets at regular intervals. However, a partnership between Anderson and Singh shifted the momentum in favor of the hosts.
