Vladimir Putin has officially commenced his fifth term as the President of Russia at a grand inauguration ceremony held at the historic Grand Kremlin Palace in Moscow. The event witnessed a diverse crowd of dignitaries, including renowned actor Steven Seagal and Chechen Republic leader Ramzan Kadyrov, among others.

In his speech, Putin emphasized the unity and strength of the Russian people, expressing confidence in their ability to overcome challenges and achieve their collective goals. This term could potentially see Putin surpassing Joseph Stalin as Russia’s longest-serving leader since Catherine the Great.

American actor Steven Seagal, known for his action-packed roles in movies like ‘Under Siege‘ and ‘On Deadly Ground,’ was present at the ceremony as a close ally of Putin. Seagal’s appointment as Russia’s special envoy to the US in 2018 solidified his ties with the Russian leadership.

Ramzan Kadyrov, the influential head of the Chechen Republic and a key ally of Putin, also graced the event. Kadyrov has been instrumental in maintaining stability in Chechnya and has recently drawn attention for his involvement in sending fighters to Ukraine.

Alexander Zaldostanov, popularly known as ‘the surgeon’ and a prominent figure in the Night Wolves biker gang, was among the attendees. Zaldostanov has faced accusations, particularly from the US, regarding his alleged role in the annexation of Crimea.

Further notable personalities at the ceremony included actor and former priest Ivan Okhlobystin, along with Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin and Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu. The presence of these political and military figures underscored the significance of Putin’s inauguration.
