In Lancaster County this weekend, residents and visitors have an array of activities to choose from, ranging from festive parties to markets rich with holiday gifts. These events are set to cater to diverse interests, including those keen on comics, holiday shopping, and unique fundraising efforts.

The ExtraGive Fest is among the highlights of the weekend’s offerings. This event provides a mixture of entertainment and community support. Festivities include a dance party with live lessons, a glow dance party, and performances by the band Mama Tried. Local culinary delights will be available from Spring House Brewing Company, Thistle Finch Distillery, and Waltz Vineyards. The event is free and scheduled for Friday night at the Lancaster County Convention Center.

Meanwhile, Tellus360 is set to host a Mardi Gras-themed party featuring performances by Nick DiSanto and DJ Major Vibes. This free event, also on Friday, promises an energetic evening with door prizes, dancing, and food provided by various local organizations.

For those embarking on holiday shopping, Root’s Country Market in Manheim will host its annual Christmas show on Saturday. The market will feature a variety of handcrafted items, decorations, and even a visit from Santa. Guests are encouraged to bring canned goods to support local food banks.

Vintage and handmade enthusiasts can visit the Forty Elephants Market at DoubleTree Resort on both Saturday and Sunday. Offering goods from 85 vendors, the market provides a unique shopping experience with items ranging from vintage clothing to quirky Christmas gifts.

Comic book fans will find interest at the Manheim Comic Con taking place at Spooky Nook Sports. The convention includes appearances by comic industry guests, trading card games, and special visits from wrestling personalities and actor Michelle Santiago. Entry costs vary, with differentiated pricing for children and adults over the two days.

Animal lovers might consider attending the Pennsylvania Ferret Rescue Group’s event at The Shops @ Rockvale on Saturday. This family-friendly event includes a ferret show, vendors, and a raffle, with proceeds benefiting the organization’s rescue efforts.

Lastly, on Sunday, the Pennsylvania Drum Show will take place at Mickey’s Black Box in Lititz. The event features over 30 vendors, musical performances by the Love Drums, and a chance for participants to engage in a drum circle. Food and drink options will be available, with varying admission prices.
