The West Indies cricket team secured a dominant win over the Australian side in a crucial T20 World Cup warm-up match in Trinidad. The West Indies registered a formidable total of 257/4 in their 20 overs, with Nicholas Pooran and Rovman Powell playing pivotal roles with explosive half-centuries.

Australia, who fielded just nine players due to logistical issues, faced an uphill task chasing the mammoth target. Despite commendable efforts from Josh Inglis and Tim David, the Australian team fell short, managing 222/7 in their allotted overs.

Notable performances included an exceptional innings by Nicholas Pooran, who blazed his way to 75 runs off just 25 balls. The skipper, Rovman Powell, also made a significant impact with a quickfire 52 off 25 deliveries, propelling the West Indies to a commanding total.
