Wireless festival has announced a schedule adjustment to wrap up early on Sunday, allowing attendees ample time to journey back home and catch the Euro 2024 final clash. The annual event, featuring a lineup of rap and R&B artists, is set to kick off in Finsbury Park, London, with headliner Nicki Minaj taking the stage on Friday.

The decision to bring forward Sunday headliner Doja Cat‘s performance to end the festival at 19:00 BST was made in consideration of the England versus Spain football match scheduled for 20:00. Friday’s headline act, Nicki Minaj, will wrap up at 22:20, while Saturday’s performer, 21 Savage, will conclude their set at 22:15.

Several festivalgoers expressed disappointment at the early finish, questioning the inability to screen the game at the event. Attendee Jazzi-Mai Edwards shared her views, mentioning the dissatisfaction of not being able to enjoy the full festival experience for which she had paid in advance.

Ellena Kkolos echoed similar sentiments, describing the sudden changes as disappointing and disrespectful to the festivalgoers. The replacements for acts Tyla and Digga D, who had to withdraw due to prior commitments, were yet to be announced by the Wireless festival organizers.

Despite the alterations in the festival schedule and curfew for Sunday, Festival Republic assured that Doja Cat would still deliver a complete performance. The weekend lineup also includes artists such as J Hus, Sean Paul, Gunna, Future, Rema, Uncle Waffles, and more.

Last year, Wireless sealed a long-term deal with Haringey Council to host the festival at Finsbury Park annually until at least 2027, drawing around 50,000 fans each year.
